In 2017, he achieved a significant milestone by obtaining a Master's degree in nursing, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Upon relocating closer to home in 2003, Don seamlessly transitioned his expertise to specialize in cardiothoracic surgery. His dedication led him to become a Registered Nurse First Assistant, enabling him to play a pivotal role in the operating room during complex procedures.
